Dr. King began LCFS with the goal of supporting individuals and families. Dr. King provides individual coaching, small-group classes, and a program for youth called "Legacy Kids". Dr. King's educational background includes a bachelors, masters, and doctoral degree from Utah State University studying human development and family studies. Dr. King has worked with individuals and families in various settings including residential treatment, counseling, family education, and academic coaching. Dr. King has been an instructor at Utah State University for the past five years, teaching classes in freshmen orientation, career and life planning, human development, and parenting. Katie earned her Bachelor's in Family, Consumer, and Human Development with a minor in music. Katie has worked with children all her life and specializes in helping them learn through PLAY. She has trained and studied how to connect with children and uses that knowledge in her daily life and in her work.Katie operates a music studio for children ages 0-12 in Cache Valley using the Let's Play Music curriculum. Aside from teaching music, developing curriculum and playing with kids, Katie loves spending time camping, hiking and sleeping.
